This is a special project for Angela D. LeBlanc-Ernest, who began researching women in the Black Panther Party for Self-Defense while an undergraduate. 30+ years later she contribute to this project as a photographic archival consultant and as an oral history consultant. This is her homage to women of the Black Panther Party, her opportunity to hold true to her commitment to bringing voice and visibility to women of the BPP whenever possible.
