In February 2021, during the pandemic when everything was forced to shut down, The OCS Project formed a community partnership with the University of California, Irvine Humanities Center. We formed the Black Panther Oakland Community School Community Archives, Activism, and Storytelling Research Cluster to work with students, training them to use archival, oral history, digital humanities, and documentary film-making tools as a way to reconstruct and share historical narratives.
